The ending is forgettable. If you don’t mind slogging through teen angst and some unexplainable plot (hey, it’s a modern novel), go for it. Otherwise, listen to it on a long road trip or wait a few years for the uninspired movie adapatation. The ending was certainly uninspired…

At the urging of my teen daughter i read all three and loved them. Best lierature in the world? Maybe not. But an awesome allegory of the oppressed organizing and challenging the rich and powerful. A new context to explain revolution for those too young or too asleep to have participated in any uprisings recently. Good for yhe soul.
Absolutely! It’s not great literature true, but I really cared about Katniss and had to know how it turned out. And besides, it’s easy reading and won’t take you long.

Yes, it’s yummy and irresistible..I have a theory, the Hunger Games storyline orginated in China, because like Chinese food a half-an-hour later after reading it, you’re hungry again for the next course.. BTW, longtime fan, and I always thought you had a sort of a (non-closeted)Katherine Hepburn-thing aura about you… peace out!
