It's just better that way. I don't remember much anymore and I have a better chance if I tell the truth. "Does this make me look fat?" causes Mercy to knock on the door with her broom handle, but that's when I launch into a truthful, if impersonal, dissertation on stripes. And what I generally do in pressure situations is dissociate. So I am first imagining that world you described - peaceful, well fed, sensible, humanitarian. I am woozy. After eight years of laughing/crying AT Hellboy, I just don't think I can make him laugh with me. He has accumulated sick days, I wish he would leave now. We always enjoy Kate when she comes to town. But we are a bit out of the loop these days with health issues and working to regain strength. Is Kate still a MA resident and has she married yet? We've never heard whether she has "walked the walk" as it were. And if not, why? We have been together twenty years and are not residents of MA. We have domestic partnership in New York State. We have not married, still live in sin and though we absolutely support the right to marry, have not walked that walk. Why? Simply put, we don't want to. Yet.
