Does it really matter who he chose? Obama is so caught up with himself, I doubt he would call on anyone for advice...'cept maybe Hillary @ 3:00AM. (I am a democrat but cannot vote this time)

...A great day today on the Cape!

It's after the fact, he's already chosen the other old white guy. I wanted Hillary at least in the vicinity, but to not even vet her is truly disrespectful. I hope he knows what he's doing! I watched Michelle Obama last night give her speech, and now I guess I'll cross over from the Hillary camp and vote for Obama, but only because it gets a brilliant contemporary woman in the White House who someday herself may be a viable candidate for President- 8 million cracks in the glass ceiling already- only need a few million more!

Hi Kate. It's a few days later now from your last post and I can't wait to hear what you have to say about Obama's acceptance speech and McCain's vp choice.

All I can say is, "wow." Even if the absolute worst thing happens and McCain gets in the White House, somehow we've still moved forward??

We live in interesting times.

McCain announced his VP selection at the Nutter Center in Dayton. That sums up this entire election year in my mind.

Palin is not just a joke, she's an insult to women (though I'm sure she'd be fun to go shootin' with--Kate, you could wear your Annie Oakley hat).

I'm at the point with Obama where I WANT to drink the koolaid--as a matter of fact I think I already did, but it just had no effect. I will vote for him, but I am so NOT inspired...
