CNN and YouTube

Hi Kate -
I'm Ruth, in MD, and I chatted online with your during your first 2 internet
chats. I was wondering if you were planning on another one anytime soon. I
know your summers are very busy, but maybe this fall we can chat again.

Also I was curious about one other thing. CNN and Youtube are inviting
people to submit videos with their questions for the presidential
candidates.
Would you consider sending in any questions -- if so, what would you ask??

My webmistress, Michele, has not scheduled another chat yet. Meantime this Q&A will have to do!

I would ask them if they really know how to access YouTube themselves! I know they are trying to involve the younger generation in the political process and I think that's great.

I would ask each of them what the diplomatic plan is for cleaning up Iraq.

Mom's Apple Pie, The Heart of the Lesbian Mothers' Custody Movement

While the beginnings of the LGBT Civil Rights movement was gaining momentum, the 1970s witnessed horrific custody battles for lesbian mothers. Mom's Apple Pie, The Heart of the Lesbian Mothers' Custody Movement revisits the early tumultuous years of the lesbian custody movement through the stories of five lesbian mothers and their four children.

Narrated by Kate Clinton, the documentary interviews the sons and daughters who were separated from their mothers, the mothers themselves, and one woman who made the difficult decision to flee with her children.

Note, the film is currently in educational distribution only, which means that it is sold to educational institutions such as colleges and universities, K-12 schools, public libraries, community groups, etc., with public performance rights included (unlike home video releases, which are lower-priced and do not include those rights). Safe Space: In the Shallow End
