The answer to last month's trivia question, "What is Kate's full name?" is Katherine Ann Marie Clinton. Theresa, Ann, Arlene, Beth, Barbara, Heidi and Penny all gave it a shot, and though no one hit the nail on the head (that was a tough one), they all got a free CD for trying. What the L? has been nominated in the humor category for the prestigious 2005 Lambda Literary Award, considered to be the highest accolade for a book from the LGBT community. "I just saw Kate again recently in Somerville, MA for her 25th anniversary show and continue to attend her shows when they are local. This picture is of me, Cheryl Kiras, Kate and my partner, Deb Shaw at the Queer comedy show at University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth.
"Last summer Deb and I met Kate and Urvashi on Commercial Street in Provincetown in front of Spiritus pizza. I am a big fan and was totally excited, starstruck and shy... Kate told me the story of how nervous she was when she met Lilly Tomlin the first time; she stepped into her bag and kept walking... hysterical!!! "
